The duo behind the duo

Every product in the shop passed the same two-person review board. One reviewer is chaos. The other is order. Somehow it works.

Momo the golden retriever, looking extremely pleased with himself

Momo

Golden Retriever · Chief Taste Officer · Professional Goofball

Momo is a golden retriever, which means he has exactly two settings: asleep and festival. He greets every delivery driver like a long-lost brother, believes every piece of furniture is a suggestion, and considers "personal space" a rumor started by cats.

As Chief Taste Officer, Momo's review process is simple: if it's edible, it's gone in four seconds; if it's a toy, its lifespan is measured in minutes; if it's clothing, he will wear it exactly once, for the camera, and then pretend it never happened. His enthusiasm is the reason half our videos exist. His appetite is the reason the treat bundles exist.

Signature move: the upside-down flop — on the couch, on the floor, on your lap, on Leo. Gravity is optional.

Leo the German shepherd riding in the car, dignified as ever

Leo

German Shepherd · Head of Quality Control · Retired Gentleman

Leo is a German shepherd of the old school: observant, deliberate, and quietly convinced he is in charge of the household. He inspects every new product the way a customs officer inspects luggage — thoroughly, suspiciously, and without hurry.

As Head of Quality Control, Leo's standards are legendary. A harness must sit right. A leash must feel serious. A treat must be earned, or at least convincingly negotiated for. If Leo approves something, it means it survived the toughest critic in the house. If he walks away mid-demo, we reshoot.

Signature move: the long, slow stare — deployed on delivery drivers, squirrels, and Momo, usually in that order.

Puru — their human

Founder · Camera Operator · Treat Dispenser

I'm Puru. I run a biopharma day job and a small family of businesses on nights and weekends — and somewhere in there, I became the full-time staff of two extremely demanding dogs.

Desi Dog Duo started the way all good ideas start: I kept buying dog stuff, the dogs kept having opinions about it, and my phone kept filling up with videos. The US Indian diaspora angle came naturally — our house runs on Hinglish, festival snacks, and a grandmother-approved approach to feeding the dogs. Turns out a lot of desi households run exactly the same way.

So here we are: forty products, two critics, one launch timed to Diwali. Momo brings the chaos, Leo brings the standards, and I bring the treats. It's a system.
